Message from Charles Laurier
Dean of the Lakeland University Japan Campus
Lakeland University Japan (LUJ) is pleased to welcome you to the 12th annual Conference on Global Higher Education.
The theme of CGHE #12 is "Opinions Turned Against Each Other,” which is the etymology of the word controversy. We certainly find ourselves in a time of great controversies as we in higher education struggle with questions regarding changing demographics, international movement of students, the role of technology and AI, and so much more.
We are thankful to all attendees, new and returning, for continually making CGHE a unique and dynamic contributor to progress and improvement in global higher education. Every year CGHE increases its reach and influence, thanks to the dedication of both presenters and attendees to the improvement of higher education.
Thank you again for joining us at our 12th edition of this conference and, again, welcome to LUJ. Don’t be afraid to ask our staff and friendly student volunteers if you need anything.
